Kuwait Amir representative: Brotherly Palestinian People Face Brutal Siege, Borders Shattered, Lives Lost
The Representative of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal
Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled
Al-Hamad Al-Sabah has shed light on the Gaza Strip catastrophe and the
brotherly Palestinian people's suffering. This came in a speech
delivered on Tuesday by His Highness on behalf of the GCC states, during an
emergency meeting of the UN Security Council on the situation in the Middle
East, including the Palestinian cause.
His Highness the Crown Prince said that the brotherly
Palestinian people have been facing the most grotesque suffering, an unfair
suffocating siege, border devastation, and the loss of over 60,000 martyrs,
most of them women and children. What is going on in the Strip is a genocide
and ethnic cleansing, which are a deep wound in human conscience that need
immediate action, His Highness noted. "We have worriedly followed up the
last military escalation. We condemn in the strongest terms the brutal Israeli
attacks on the sisterly State of Qatar," His Highness the Crown Prince
told the attendees. "We clearly affirm that undermining a GCC state's
security is an attack on all GCC members. Our security, position and fate are
shared," His Highness underlined.
His Highness the Amir's Representative went on to say that
fair and permanent justice in "our" region could only be achieved
through the two-state
solution based on the international legitimacy resolutions topped with the
Security Council resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative. This is the only
way to end the Israeli occupation, ensure legitimate Palestinian people's
rights and establish an independent Palestinian state based on the June 4, 1967
borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, His Highness the Crown Prince
stressed.
"We warn against undermining this solution through the
policies of settlement, displacement, and imposing the status quo," His
Highness affirmed. His Highness the Crown Prince urged the international
community, mainly the Security Council, to bear its full responsibility to
prevent the repetition of these violations, and ensure the perpetrators would
not go unpunished and the access of Palestinian people's inalienable rights to
self-determination.
The Amir's Representative welcomed the countries'
recognition of the Palestinian state on Monday during the high-level
international conference on the peaceful settlement of Palestine's issue and
the implementation of the two-state solution. He termed the step as
"blessed and courageous" that goes in harmony with international law
and justice.
In addition, His Highness the Crown Prince said that the GCC
reiterated its unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people, and that
these crimes are not only against Palestinians, as they pose a threat to
regional and international security as a whole. He asked the Security Council
to translate its words into practical steps to immediately stop the Israeli
aggression and ensure humanitarian aid access, protect civilians and end unfair
and illegitimate occupation for the sake of safety and security. His Highness
finally thanked the Organization
of Islamic Cooperation for requesting this emergency session.

Namaa delivers urgent aid to Gaza and Yemen
Kuwait’s Namaa Charity
announced Monday the launch of an urgent water distribution campaign in the
Gaza Strip, in coordination with partner organizations accredited by the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to support families facing an escalating water
crisis. As part of the initiative, 230
water trucks were delivered to affected areas, benefiting more than 2,760
people.
“The daily scenes reflect the gravity of the damage to water
facilities…,” said Abdulaziz Al-Kandari, Deputy CEO of Namaa Charity. He
emphasized that the campaign was not a temporary initiative but a lifeline for
families in need. “Water is not a luxury, but a basic right to survival,” he
said, adding that the field team overcame major obstacles, including destroyed
roads, fuel shortages and security challenges.
He also expressed appreciation to Kuwait’s leadership for its
unwavering support of humanitarian work. Al-Kandari praised the Foreign
Ministry for facilitating the aid process and ensuring coordination with
authorized partners inside Gaza. He further thanked all contributors and
donors, stressing that Namaa Charity will remain at the forefront of relief
efforts.
Meanwhile, in Yemen, Namaa Charity distributed 332 food baskets in the Tihama region of western Yemen, reaching 2,324 displaced individuals and orphans as part of the “Kuwait by Your Side” campaign, now in its 11th year. Dr Khaled Al-Shatti cited Kuwait’s $500,000 annual ILO donations and the “Faza’a for Gaza” campaign, which raised over $37 million.
Kuwaiti-supported exhibition highlights Gaza’s resilience

Photographs from Gaza” exhibition at London’s P21 Gallery offers a powerful
visual narrative of Gaza’s suffering and resilience, running through October
