A Deeper Look at Arab Brain Drain

 There's a confirmed truth: the future of nations is tied to their children and the forms of upbringing and social normalization these children undergo. Thus, vibrant nations strive to preserve this human treasure, protecting it from negative influences that could leave marks on their personalities and ways of thinking, threatening the nations' future. At the same time, arrogant global powers are extremely keen to have a hand, in one way or another, in preparing the nascent generations of other subdued, submissive nations that are beholden to these arrogant powers.

This intervention might be direct, shaping curricula, training educational leaders, or proliferating foreign schools with their own curricula emanating from these colonial entities. These curricula are subtly laced with poison, serving as incubators for the children of the upper classes in those submissive societies. From these institutions emerge children who become military, political, or social leaders, alongside armies of teachers, scientists, and employees in various sectors, all imbued with a Westernized vision, detached from their civilizational roots and cultural foundations.

International Criminal Piracy

We face another, even more horrific, form of seizing the future of nations, represented in their childhood and youth. This form involves the adoption of large numbers of orphans under the guise of mercy or rescuing them from the horrors of devastating wars or abject poverty.

This latter image, in my estimation, goes beyond the description of seizure, which seems to lighten the scale of the crime, to the description of piracy, which accurately and realistically describes the operation. It is indeed piracy practiced by a strong, capable, controlling state against another helpless, politically and economically shackled, and socially humiliated state or quasi-state.

This happened before with Russia in the 1980s during the Afghan War, or the brutal Russian invasion of that peaceful Muslim country, to strip it of its identity by force of arms and oppression. Tens of hundreds of children were transferred to Russia, not to mention the Westernization and destruction awaiting them there, so that they would return to their countries as real tools of demolition.

The same thing happened in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 1990s during the war of genocide waged by the Serbs—with covert or hidden Western blessing—against the Muslims of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who were previously their fellow citizens in Czechoslovakia. No sooner had that dilapidated communist state disintegrated than the savagery of the Serbs against their Muslim Bosnian citizens emerged. The massacres that shame humanity's forehead, as happened in Srebrenica and Sarajevo and elsewhere, took place. This also occurred with tens or hundreds of Somali children who were transferred to "Israel," perhaps to Judaize them, not just Westernize them, in addition to other Western countries committing the same crime under various pretexts, and the list goes on.

This still happens today in other forms, where churches adopt what are known as street children in Egypt and other poor, needy countries. There, in the most horrific way, that dirty bartering takes place: bartering bread for faith. The cross is offered as the price for a plate of rice that fills those empty stomachs. It even happens in a softer way in what are known as peace programs, to which Muslim children and adolescents from various countries are invited to live in well-prepared camps, with expertly engineered programs to which these tender young people are subjected, so that their concepts, ideas, values, and perceptions are reshaped in a way that gradually strips them of their religion, leaving them with nothing but names to identify with that religion.

I would like to note here, in passing, that piracy operations targeting Muslim youth are most prevalent in crisis areas, failed states, and times of disasters and wars. Therefore, what the resolutions of the Colorado Conference for Missionary Societies concluded on the cusp of the 21st century, where attendees gathered to discuss their action plans for the new century in the field of converting non-Christian peoples, especially Islamic peoples, is extremely serious and horrific to the highest degree.

One of their malicious, diabolical schemes alluded not only to exploiting crisis and disaster areas and seizing as many of these miserable people as possible under the pretext of saving them, but, more dangerously and gravely, and more basely and ignobly, to recommend to human devils in power to fabricate more such disasters if possible to create a suitable opportunity for fishing in troubled waters. From here, many locations around the world were heated up, and all of them, what a strange coincidence, are in the afflicted parts of our Islamic homeland!

Cultural Seizure

The piracy operations directed at our youth are not the only method of stealing and mortgaging our future, even if they appear to be the most heinous and atrocious. There are also cultural seizure operations that the nation is currently experiencing at their worst. This is another form of stealing the future, mortgaging it, and assigning it for the benefit of the Western project and Western civilization. This is a broader and more dangerous theft in its dimensions and effects than the theft of hundreds of children from a hot spot in the Islamic world.

In the era of open skies and the global electronic village, where national borders have almost vanished before Western influences, this cultural seizure, which previously hid its ugly facets under cloaks, no longer cares about concealment. Instead, it moves with complete freedom, claiming to have acquired legal and moral justifications for the piracy it conducts through a long series of international treaties whose clauses are crafted with cunning and shrewdness to arrive at that legal justification for international piracy. Thus, the greedy, ugly gaze of the arrogant thief is no longer directed solely at stealing the present, but is entirely keen to steal the future as well, not only in the form of piracy targeting children, but also through piracy that affects all the nation's capabilities, foremost among them human capabilities, to mold them in a certain way, making them ineffective and uninfluential, captivated by the West and its lifestyles, detached from their cultural roots and civilizational origins.

Stealing Minds, Young and Old

As for the theft of minds, the minds of the brilliant among our weak, vulnerable nation, driven by the emergency circumstances surrounding them in their countries or the temptations of a comfortable life and opportunities for self-realization in Western countries, this is another form of stealing our future. The figures cited by Dr. Nabil Sobhi Al-Tawil in his study on "The Problem of Brain Drain in the Arab and Islamic World," a book published in "Kitab Al-Ummah" series by the Ministry of Endowments in Qatar, contain something that arouses panic and anguish and rings thousands of alarm bells to pay attention to this grave matter, if there is anyone who cares about the nation and its future.

Among Us Are Conspirators, So Let's Confront Properly

Our nation's future is being stolen before our eyes in several ways, as mentioned earlier. And among us are those who contribute to facilitating the theft operations carried out by the nation's enemies because they were previously prepared to carry out this dirty mission. Our negligence, in a subtle way, contributes to facilitating the tasks of both these groups. The first step to stopping this bleeding is to raise public awareness of the matter and its dangers, and this article is but a drop in the ocean in this regard.

It is absolutely necessary to mobilize sincere efforts and energies to preserve our youth, the pillar of the future, and to preserve brilliant minds, the pillar of the nation's renaissance and the secret of its strength, and to protect the broad masses exposed to a sweeping torrent of malicious, seizing propaganda.

There are so many forms of cultural jihad awaiting us to repel the aggressors' assault and confront those lying in wait. But the big question remains: Are we truly ready for confrontation? And do we sense or realize that there is a cultural seizure, indeed a real war, being waged by hostile, arrogant powers, maliciously targeting the present and future of this nation?
