Why did the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ dismiss his guards at a time of real danger? While in Madinah, the Prophet ﷺ was protected by guards due to threats from Arab tribes and the polytheists of Makkah. Then Allah revealed a powerful verse, promising divine protection: “O Messenger, proclaim what has been revealed to you from your Lord… and Allah will protect you from the people.” (Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:67) Upon this revelation, the Prophet ﷺ commanded his guards to leave placing complete trust in Allah’s promise. Even the orientalist Barthelemy Hilaire (Bart Lowe Hill) acknowledged that this act is a strong proof of the Prophet’s truthfulness. A man inventing a message would never dismiss his protection in such a dangerous situation. This video reflects on: • Divine protection of the Prophet ﷺ • The meaning of true trust in Allah (Tawakkul) • Why this moment is evidence of prophethood Peace and blessings be upon Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
